    Wa Handle Take 1

These are the first true was handles I have made. and I wonder why I waited so long!

If I may ask. I have a couple questions in regard to wa handle size and shape. So any advise or basic guidelines I need to know about would be great..

How much taper do you like on a wa handle?
How long is a standard size for a 240 blade?
Would you expect the handle on a 270 to be longer, larger etc then that of a 240 gyuto?

Is all this more personal preference? Or are there some rough guidelines as to handle sizes for different blade styles?

Thanks in advance for your time and answers.

Those look like the kind of handles Ferrari would make if they ever get into making knives.

    18mm x 22mm at the front and 22mm x 26mm at the back would be a medium(normal) size Wa.

It looks like carbon fibre used in high-end bicycles etc.

I like this a whole lot.
