hello all. I have been lurking here for a while, but my addiction is getting to the point where just browsing is not enough.
Started to cook three years ago and got into sharpening soon thereafter. all downhill from there.
I have a month off starting next week before attending culinary school(tough decision) and am hoping to do lots of tinkering with my free time.
Fortunately for me, i come from a family of artisans and craftsman and my fathers shop is a short drive away with every power tool imaginable. (hes a glassblower, so diamonds on everything, wet belts lapping wheels, grinding wheels, bandsaw ect ect.)
it should be a fun month.
also hoping to learn more about making knives...only thing i have made was a small obsidian sharp thing when i was fifteen.
(but next summer i will be out in montana, and my uncle does metal and iron sculpture for a living. so hes got fun stuff too.
id say im well setup to get far too into this stuff.
