First of all, I got Lefty's forgecraft blade today and it looks amazing.

Second, I had a party. Here is a shot of the mess. Notice the baby bottles mixed in with the bouteille de vin. It's going to be a rough morning.

Hope you have some alka seltzer on hand ;) But it looks like you had fun.

I'm more curious about what's in the baby bottle...why is it pink? Strawberry milk? Pepto?

Yeah, well first of all, the booze did floweth last night, and I only marginally remember taking this photo and posting it at 2:21 am. Here is what led to my Sunday demise.

Appetizers:

Roasted tomato Israeli couscous, home smoked salmon, chorizo and cheese, and homemade bread.

Main stuff:

Thomas Keller's chicken dumpling soup and his asparagus with tomato bacon stew. Also bucatini with rabbit ragu. I did a lot of stuff that I could prepare the day ahead or earlier in the day and just reheat.

Wines (in no order) mostly from Walla Walla:

* Rollat Ardenvoir
* Rollat Rose
* Caderetta SBS
* Tamarack Seven Hills Reserve
* Tensely Colson Canyon
* Forgeron Late Harvest Riesling
* Rotie Southern Rhone Blend
* Forgeron Anvil Cab Sauv
* Buty Semillon white blend
* Charles Smith Viognier
* Va Piano Estate Merlot
* Va Piano Gonzaga Cab Sauv

Spirits:

* North Dakota and Ukrainian moonshine, and Kaufmann vodka.

Do the math, six people, one of which was a DD and my wife is pregnant.

That's way over my capacities, I'm getting old... But sounds like a fun evening.
