Here's what we got done in a day and a few hours:

I was fortunate enough to take me favourite gyuto, and make it something really special. Randy and I went with Arizona Ironwood, red vulcanized fiber liners, brass pins and a centre mosaic with brass and copper.

Randy taught me a huge amount, and I'm incredibly grateful and humbled by his generosity. We ate delicious food, stayed up too late and had a few too many coffees. That all added up to a couple of the best days I've had in recent memory.

I'm more than lucky to have befriended a talented team and truly great guys like Randy and Jr.

    Thanks guys!

Thanks! If it weren't for Randy stopping me when I needed it, as well as his expertise, it would have been quite different. I'm incredibly happy with how all of the knives turned out. Randy is a great teacher, despite what he says.

To be honest, I've never felt so welcome, in quite some time. His entire family is friendly, giving, funny and all around great to hang out with. The venison dinner and biscuits and gravy were fantastic, to boot!

Thanks to Randy, Jr, Lisa, Hunter and the pups and cats for such an awesome time!

Truly great handle on that Misono. Looks like it was a great time.
I seem to remember Mike Davis having an excellent time the last time he went to hang out with Randy and family as well.
I still want to see some more scrimshaw work from that trip.

That cell phone takes great pictures!

Lefty, Glad you could make it up for a couple days!! Honestly, Im tired out from the visit. Yet really pleased with the outcome, and blessed to have met ya!

Hunter was looking for ya when he got home from school. Was surprised you had already left. You made a impression on him.
Lisa said your welcome back any time and shes glad you enjoyed yourself and the food!

    Heres a few more images.

    God Bless
    Randy

That means a lot, Randy! Hunter's a great kid. I think he knows as much about knives as either of us do!

Oh, tell Lisa not to drink all of the Canadian coffee this week. She'll get hooked and be driving all the way into Imlay every morning! Hahaha
