So seriously, what in the hell is the lady pulling out of the oven???
Is it apples on long skewers???
Whatever it is, her husband is stoked!!!

Very cool seeing these historical pics.

That is a rotisserie oven and those are tomatoes on the skewer ,see the drip pan

Ahh, I see.
She's not too bad looking either steeley, I think she counts as this thread's "historical hottie" as well.

here is a nice set up.

Wow steeley, I've never seen an Aga that old. A lot of my clients have them down here. They are cool looking, but I feel they are a waste in the South. All the wasted gas/heat, having to reinforce the floor underneath(they weigh tons-literally) and sometimes having to install an additional AC unit to compensate for the eternal heat they emit...............
............Also if I try to cook anything on the top of the stove, it drains the heat from the oven sections.
But they look cool.
And I think to some people here it is a status symbol as well.

That Visual Kitchen would look cool today -- especially if the hot house mädchen was staffing it :) Interesting pics, and that was when Hobart made kitchen aids.

I would HATE cleaning "Baltimore's first visual kitchen" every night!

And seeing shelves above burners for pans,Ahhhhhh, the good ol days

It really is amazing that many of the Vulcan swing broilers like those in your pics are still rockin it out today.

The Bel Loc Diner is still there. Pretty much looks the same.

Put the broiler on the other end and this is almost a spitting image of my back line. Equipment is about the same age as well.
I cook on a 65 Y.O. range. As ugly as it is I love it.
I 86'd the broiler for a char grill.
