Engraving Adventures

As some of you may know, I am the main engraver at Korin. If you ever need a knife engraved, I'm your girl.

With that being said, I've gotten several very odd requests. One of my favorites was from a hot female biker chef, who asked me to engrave "F*** O**". I'm surprised there aren't more requests like that, considering the madness that ensues in professional kitchens.

My friend bought a Suisin orange handle santoku then asked me to engrave his knife with anything I want. I thought about it all day, and ended up with this for my food loving gamer buddy (who also now works at Korin).

Yea! I thought it was brilliant. Once I was done, I went downstairs to tell her I feel like I've waited my entire life to engrave it. LOL

Do you do this engraving by hand, Mari?

It's a machine, but I have to trace, center and etc. Half machine, half me. I'm hoping for more fonts one of these days. lol
