So I was at a lunch the other day and this guy I was getting to know was like "Hey, so how'd you get into the knife thing? You know, one of my friends from Michigan does that." I tried to be polite, but I have no idea what to tell people when they say that. I doubt there is a street in America that doesn't have anyone on it who makes knives from time to time. My neighbor does.

Then his wife added "He smelts his own steel. Like, from sand by the lake. He mostly makes straight razors though." My face undoubtedly perked up, and I said, "Wait, what is your friend's name?" and he just said "Tim. You know him?"

LOL. They had no idea that Tim Zowada was about as famous as it gets for American razors. 10 year backlog, anyone?

Small world.
