yay! someone else with a Z-name!

Welcome!

i suspected people had left knifeforums at some point and forgot to turn out the lights... in the kitchen section.

I used my Devin Thomas ITK 270, Hattori FH 210 and my big heavy heckles cleaver to carve up a pair of pigs. It made me think of a couple of things:

1 - the Devin thomas is awesome, and i need to get one of these for a friend
2 - the hattori needs to have the spine rounded
3 - that heckles is a monster. it is about 3/8" think, 5" wide, and 14" long blade. it does not seem that big, until others look at it. I firm chop to split a skull...

I have a significant selection of nifty kitchen knives at my disposal, with some very cool materials, sizes, etc. I will cover the full list later. but something like 4 french style, 4 germans, 15 japanese style blades... from Hattori HFs, tool steel knives imported from japan, an Itou, Mr Nagoa white steel Hirimoto with a custom handle from adam, of the hirmoto AS that Dave Martell did in group buys... to name a few
