Last month I purchased a 40+ yr old Usuba from a fellow on ebay for $36. He shipped it from Hawaii and the packing wasn't great and the blade arrived bent. I figured for that price I could refurb and left good feedback, but stated the bent nature of the blade.
OK he emails me and apologizes and then sends me an old Nakiri to make up for the Usuba and pads the crap out of the box and it arrives A-OK. Yeah this one needs work too, but only edge work. How often does that happen anymore? That's old school customer service and very much appreciated in this day and age.
