I just finished adding a new batch of stabilized Amboyna Burl to our webstore.
These blocks are all cut extra large so some will yield multiple handles.
The stabilizing was done by K&G so you know it was done right.

I still have the cap portion of the burl to cut up.
With that I was going to try to get some blocks where the two tone would run the length of the block.
When I do that, we might need to talk. After all, there's no such thing as too many knives.
 
Beautiful wood. I remember when I started making handles, I bought a very nice piece of amboyna, like the best of yours here, on ebay which I thought to be expensive at the time at about $60. I got about 8 handles out of it. It's incredible how wood prices for some premiun exotics have gone up in the past 5 years. Now I wish I had bought a few dozen of those pieces a few years ago...

yeh i was looking in my wood statsh and found myself way lower on blocks then i wanted to be
