That looks fantastic. Is the tall suji kind of like a gyutohiki?
 
God that Sycamore looks amazing! Mark keeps telling me how good looking it is....but I never thought it could look that good!

Thanx........It really is more of a gyutohiki and it should be around 45mm tall.That sycamore has a "Spooky" look to it,I wish I had more like that block.
 
Mario, is that the same piece of sycamore that you thought got too wonky?

I was able to fix it,I feel it being smaller is appropriate for that height of blade.

I do that all the time. Start a gyuto handle, mess it up, sand it down and call it a petty handle - where's the problem? :)
