I stayed up till 2:00 am to finish this one... Some of you have seen my first saya, here is the whole package together.

250 mm Gyuto, O1 core, 1084/15N20 San Mai @ HRC 61-62 Bright finish

Handle has black liners, Redwood burl scales, and mosaic pins, with Mokume bolsters.

Saya is matching Redwood, with mammoth ivory pin, it also has a matching mosaic pin.

I hope you enjoy looking at the photos, I wish they could convey how it looks in hand!

Pierre

Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty nice (in my best Larry David voice).

That's gonna be one of those legendary blades, I think!

This was a special order from Mark at Chef Knives to Go. It will be available there, unless it gets intercepted first.

The only thing wrong with that saya is that it covers up that freaking amazing blade!

wow, that looks amazing, looks like my Pierre gyuto, but with a badass saya! Can't believe that is your first, you make it look to easy Pierre, but so do all the greats.
