The first time I just hacked away with my cleaver.. This time I went to the garage and grabbed my dead-blow plastic hammer!
Impressive! Silly fast and clean. Thought I would pass it along.

Reminds me of an old joke. One day a woman was preparing a ham to bake. She cut the end off, put it in the pan, and stuck it in the oven. Her husband watched her do this, and said "Why did you cut the end off the ham?" "I don't know why, but it's the way my mother always did it, so there must be a reason" she replied. The husband was really puzzled by this, so when he saw his mother in law, he asked her "Why do you always cut the end off the ham before you cook it?" The MIL replied, "It's the way my mother always did it." The man was really frustrated by this, so he made a special trip to visit his wife's grandmother. "Grandmother," he asked, "WHY do you always cut the end off the ham before you bake it?"

"Because it's the only way it would fit in the pan."

(Thanks for the tip!)
