help requested with three vintage? knives

a while ago I bought a couple of knives from a forum member and I made an attempt to decipher the inscriptions but failed...
here all three and the individual inscriptions left to right, all help is welcome!

孝義 作

Research note… the word 作 routinely appears on blade inscriptions as a suffix meaning “made”. Looked it up in more detail today and was amused to find it particularly apt on a yanagiba.

so the blades were made and the second one was made in Tokyo, by a mystery maker (I figure there are quite a few of those)
first two are single sided.

After Tokyo, we have 柳, which is, unfortunately, "yanagi"

If you google 東京柳ざし there is a couple auction results so I'm pretty confident that's what the kana are. What it all means and where it came from, I don't know but I'll see if I can find anything more

Side note, there are debas with the yanagi stamp so I guess their definition is a bit loose

I don’t suppose the zashi corresponds to the zashi in wakizashi… I am shooting in the dark here.

just tried a Kanji OCR app, u.s.e.l.e.s.s. is a good word for that, it did not recognize a single character on the long pointy single sided blade..

That'd be 片刃, kataba …

Yanagizashi is probably the name of some defunct manufacturer from Tokyo. At a guess, they probably started out making yanagibas, which is what you have there, and then expanded to debas and others, which is what's in the photo above…
