This is the large size version of the Takashima Awasedo stone. I purchased this from JKI a while ago, and you can see that it has been used only once. A small area in the corner of the original lettering is still visible. The 'chip' at the end of the stone was present when the stone was new. The sides are protected by lacquer and comes mounted on a wooden base and its original box.
This measures 208mm x 70mm with my ruler. The stone thickness measures 20mm on one side and 21mm on the other side. I know I wasn't the one who wore down 1mm of stone, so this must be how it was when it was new.
