Hi.
I am selling a Honyaki gyuto by Togashi sharpened by Takada, the steel is Blue #1. The knife is new.

Asking price is 22502200usd shipped.
Now bundled with a Watanabe Honyaki for 2408usd all included.

I visited Takada last October, I asked about honyaki blue #1, he will not sharpen them anymore because is too dangerous, they snap and they are too hard to work with. He said I should keep them because they are rare. These were his words.

I would like to bundle a fantastic little knife to make a hell of a Honyaki pair.
I will add a Watanabe Honyaki petty. It is used and loved (meaning that I took great care of it, not abused in anyway). It has great banding, but because it is covered by dark patina it is not so visible with camera. Depending on what you will be cutting it will show vividly or not.

The price of the 2 knives is 3650aud(2280usd) + shipping 70aud(44usd) + PayPal fees 134aud(84usd), for the total of 3854aud(2408usd).

Both have original box and saya.

Great wat petty, I was the first owner. Righty bias grind, mind, could just a lower edge angle than then one I got it with. Grind is Ashi like, flatter left and convex right. Very hard and crisp. Compared to regular wat steel which I've tried twice (nakiri and KU iron clad 240 gyuto), it's harder and icier . . . More pressure required to abrade a certain depth of scratch. Very even grind. Patinas with banding. Stone powder didnt show banding very well though when I had it. If you like tf white . . . This feels a lot like a blue steel version. Not quite but the closest similar. Proabaly even harder from aging.
