Not me. For BBQ meat prep, I’m partial to my Messermeister 8“ Four Seasons Breaking knife (which is almost the same thing). Use, abuse and sharpens back up in minutes. I’ve bought 8 of them, and give one away to folks who want to get serious about smoking meats.

Although not electric, a ceramic style cooker like the Big Green Egg is very tough to beat for versatility. Not cheap but within your price range, particularly if you look at other makes like Primo. I have and use multiple cookers, from a large mobile stick burner to cabinet style charcoal...
