We’ve made and used lots of knives from lots of different steels over the years. Jackie has no idea what any of the gibberish means concerning steel and hrc etc. She will comment on the beauty of a knife. Having no idea what the knife is made from, her favorite steel is 26c3 (spicy white). Hoss

Larrin makes no claims, he does the testing and shows the results. He has never set out to prove or disprove anything, just does the testing. There have been some surprising results over the years. Hoss

They don’t. They are about 3/32 thick, the early ones were ground thinner at the edge. Hoss

Rolling mill is best, power hammer is second best, and press is serviceable but not ideal. Hoss

Yes, the cladding will tell you a lot. Sometimes the core is compressed and sometimes it gets a little off center, it doesn’t take much to look more exaggerated than it is. Hoss
