The truth in the knife world is, one may have multiple stones for polishing but no knife with flat bevels. Most knife makers just don't make knives like that.

Oh no, that's unfortunate... I have a hard nakayama and a wakasa which have scratchy iron particles in them. Diamond plate slurries solved the problem in my case, but I don't feel so inclined to polish with them.

What do you mean? Revealed some scratchy particles underneath?

Our area was under voluntary evacuation the day before yesterday and we evacuated early yesterday. The order turned into mandatory right after our evacuation. I feel so lucky right now...

I’ve polished knives with stones harder than this. Using one or two drops of water helped a lot. Maybe you’ll not let it go if you give that a try…
