    I use my SUIEN vc CLEAVER on whole chickens regularly..... just like Martin yan . (but much slower for safety) with no problem. :moonwalk:

    CCK CARBON steel . I have CCK 1103, and really like it. SUGIMOTO also makes good carbon steel knives. (but I wouldn't get stainless ) I love carbon steel...and dislike stainless. so my opinion is biased.

    Have you tryed a Chinese style cleaver? almost instantly I was ADDICTED to chopping. Then I ditched all my German/ French knives . haven't even looked back . CARBON steel Chinese cleaver + WOOD chopping block, is all I need. If I had to switch, my ONLY other choice would be a SANTOKO...

    I am familiar with people making such outlandish statements .That food has antifreeze because it has propylene glycol Which is far different from ethylene glycol found in antifreeze kind of like comparing sodium cyanide to sodium chloride. one is deadly poison the other is table salt.

    That doesn't really mean much. Carnauba wax is considered food grade and used on things like apples or cucumbers . That doesn't change the fact that it's still car wax. If Vaseline gives directions for use with cutting boards, I'd like to see it. Vaseline is for diaper rash and such things...
