    Flatting stones

Fineness and grit control is one issue. The other is that diamond plates wear out quite a bit when used for sharpening, particularly with some alloyed steels.

    WTB Kasfly Sinkbridge

That's interesting as it's possible to set up an account in Singapore. Though you should start with the international page before navigating to the item page. At least that's how it worked out for me.

    WTB Kasfly Sinkbridge

There's a knife shop from China on Taobao that carries these. I've since lost the link but they're much cheaper. Not sure about costs of shipping to you though.

    Glueing together stones with adhesive?

Well you could glue both the stones to a base, reinforce the whole thing together with some string tied really tight around and glued to the sides. And if the seam does become an issue due to the uneven hardening from manufacture (synths only), use a small diamond file to dig it out as you go...

Looking for Jnat recommendations for beginner polisher

Hideriyma suitas are definitely the way to go if you can find a relatively clean one. Them being soft makes them more forgiving, and are known to be quite versatile on many different steels. Downside to this is that they tend to be a bit coarser, and probably not burnish the core steel much -...

    SOLD Kakiyama Type 30 Tomae

For sale, one of my earliest stone purchases - a Kakiyama Type 30 Asagi Tomae I did some research on Kakiyama, seems like a mine with this name does not exist, please correct me if I'm mistaken. JNat Beginners Guide to Buying: Stories of Success, Pitfalls, and Fails

At these prices and these dimensions, I'd ask for the polish off the stones. Also, what kind of finish / use are you intending to use your JNats for? For the one from Watanabe, I see a line that could potentially lead to the stone splitting or be an inclusion.

    J-Nat - What's Next?

Have you tested this stone? Shoubudani is on the finer side usually, around 6 to 8k grit, and the tomae could be used for the final polishing step if it's inclusion free. It will polish differently than most synthetics (scratch marks are less visible usually, and bring out contrast)...
