    WTB WTB CJA/Cris Anderson 270mm gyuto XT/XH to XXH/XXT

The guy is a total train wreck. He's taken a lot of money from people ($1,400 from me) and gone silent. Check this out: Anyone heard from Cris Anderson? | Kitchen Knife Forums

I think BST rules say you should leave the price showing after a sale.

    Greed

A single bump is fine. I do get tired of the "threats": "Final price drop!! If this knife doesn't sell by tomorrow, I'm just going to keep it!"

    Greed

That's a fair point of view. It just seems to me that people are lazy in addition to being greedy. It takes a lot of work to look up past sales of a given knife, take inflation into account, and come up with a price that's reasonable and will move the knife quickly. Instead I believe a lot of...

    Greed

I've bought a couple dozen knives on BST over the years, and sold a few. Lately I've noticed a trend: people getting greedy. Here's an example: a seller put a knife up at X price. I PM'd him and said I'd take it. He replied and said the price would be X + PayPal fees. I reminded him that...

    SOLD Shigefusa 165 Kitaeji Santoku

For anyone who missed out on the recent santokus, here's another. I'm the first owner, and it's about 6 years old. Never used or sharpened. Cladding line is exceedingly even on both sides. It comes with the Shig blue box, and an unlimited free sharpening voucher from Dictum, which has got to be...

WTS Toyama honyakis: 270mm gyuto and 150mm petty

There's a straight hamon visible in several of the photos where the kanji are. This is what some people refer to as a "Sanjo" hamon, different in appearance from the more typical wavy hamons that run the length of the blade.

    WTS Fowler gyuto

I must be going blind--I don't see a maker's mark on the knife.

WTS Kiyoshi Kato Yanagiba 300mm BNIB

Beautiful knife. Lots of kanji on the blade. I took a stab at translating. Here's what I got: "The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and he plummeted 16 feet through an announcer's table."

"Ocrean Blue" Tsushima on Amazon - is it as bad as I assume it is?

P.S. Here's a real one: Tsushima Kuro Nagura 4lb. 11.5oz. Japanese Natural Sharpening Stone Note the description: "medium to medium-high grit." That's not 12k......

"Ocrean Blue" Tsushima on Amazon - is it as bad as I assume it is?

Real Tsushima stones are nice; this isn't one. The Amazon seller is a serious hype-meister; look at the keyword spam in his listing title: Natural Sharpening Honing Stone Waterstone Knife Chisel Plane Blade Razor Sharpener Real Tsushimas are closer to 8k than 12k, and they tend to have a thick...
