    Forged paring knife

2020 was slow, but I'm onto a batch of paring knives for the summer/fall (mostly stock removal). This was an otherwise useless scrap of 1084 from a years-ago stock removal project. Just enough to forge into this paring knife, wearing a brass bolster and crazy (and tricky!) white oak handle...

Hand-forged integral paring knife from rudder bearing

This was a challenging build, as it was my first integral and forged from a very small piece of material - 1/4 of an E/V Nautilus rudder bearing. It's wearing "Ocean Depths" gcarta from GL Hansen&Sons. It's already off to a shipmate. :)

With E/V Nautilus rudder bearing brass bolster and white oak. Definitely in the "work horse" category. :p Did this on a whim and loving it!

    Pair of mini-dashi in AEB-L

Not quite kitchen fare, but here's a brace of mini-dashi in 0.165" AEB-L, one with biru feature. These are more for on-the-go. I do keep a big'n hanging on the fridge in the kitchen for opening bottles. :D
