    Not exactly on topic, but I have never found Globals to sharpen nearly as readily (easily) as any carbon knife. Judging from other forums about woodworking tools this is a very nice steel though.

    I just went through the 3 knives with some unripe pears (the Romans used them a vegetable so I can too!) and I should restate that the stiction is actually pretty markedly worse with the knife in question.

    WTB : Laserish type knife

    Ashi Ginga or Sakai Yusuke or Konosuke are the wa lasers that come to mind. Western handle there are others.
