This Kiridashi from Sadahide Chiyozuru 3rd, was a real challenge to sharpen. The geometry of the tool itself, make it very tricky to work with... but well, it turned pretty well in the end!

So, I decided to post some pictures, when I sharpen a new tool! In this first post, I sharpened my first Kiridashi, ever. It was fun to go from 1K, to 12K with synthetic stones only. This Yamamoto, Blue Steel, is a pleasure to polish! On the first three photos, you can see the rought blade...
