Catch and release. Wanted to try a smaller deba, so this looked fun, but I have a different one on the way. Bought this from homebutcher on sale, so passing on the savings. It’s pretty much brand new, just broke down one fish with it, so there’s some patina. It also came with no edge, so I put my own on it.

Specs:

155x48
281g
7mm at the handle
Iron Cladding
Aogami #2 Core
Wenge Octagonal Handle w/ Black Buffalo Horn Ferrule

Price: $125 $110 shipped obo, USA ONLY (international, let’s talk in the DM’s)

I had been eyeing k-tip debas for a while -- how did you like it with the one fish you broke down? is it meaningfully different from a standard deba?

This is the only one I’ve used, so I can only speak for this one. It’s pretty much the same, but I just had to adjust my angle a little bit to compensate for the upsweep versus on a regular deba you just cut normally. Hope that makes sense lol
