$55 shipped
186g
163mm edge
4mm spine at handle, 2mm halfway, 1.5mm at tip
55mm tall
Steel has slag inclusions parallel to the edge. Possibly tamahagane? Just dirty steel? Not sure. The seller I bought it from said it was made by Okamoto knife manufacturing in Sakai, and is supposed to be white 2. Microchips at edge. I don't think it's quench cracks because it's not diagonal or perpendicular to the edge. Slag inclusions were visible only when I sharpened -- mostly on the right side edge bevel. Very consistent grind when I laid the knife flat -- close to flat grind both sides. Very distinct shinogi. Clicks into place on a flat plate. Righty bias at edge but symmetrical grind. Cuts well with good release. Heavy nakiri. Steel feels like SK or white.... Or tamahagane. I've had some tamahagane razors feel this way. Kind of plasticky into hair. But not white steel crisp. Hard but not like how you would expect white steel to feel. Buffalo horn ferrule
