Hello, everyone!

I forged a few blades a while back and have been slowly working on them in my free time, and this one just got finished up last night.

It’s an ApexUltra core that’s clad in some wrought iron that I was hoarding for a special knife. The grind on it is a nice convex, with all of the geometry and polishing all done on bench stones (final polish with some finger stones, no acid etch).

It has a medium thickness spine with thin nail flex edge that glides through product in an almost magical way.

The handle is a premium piece of amboyna burl from Greenberg with a nickel silver spacer. Handle is installed with hot glue for ease of polishing in the future.

Blemish on the spine and a tiny bit at the choil, but no impact to the blade itself

207x51mm, ApexUltra at 64/65hrc.

Price is $700 shipped conus (or first $30 for international)

Sold!

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan sent this knife to me during the grinding stage and I used it and offered my feedback (it was already very, very good - it must be truly exceptional now) before he set the final grind. The iron is really special stuff that will patina gracefully. Also for polishing nerds, he’s set the whole geometry on stones, so…. All the hard work is already done. Given the amount of labor that goes into this, the value proposition is absurd.
