Good Morning All,

Here's the first of 6 forged O1 blades I've been working on lately. Each will be a little different from the last and somewhat unique just as a result of the variation in tapering. This blade has a fairly heavy taper to it, and is quite nimble in hand owing to its balance point. It hasn't got quite the same amount of convexity as I usually grind into my blades, and as a result it's a little stickier than I like, however owing to its flatter grind, it is a remarkably fine slicer. This blade was entirely zero ground, and sharpening was more or less just a simple deburring on a 2k stone.

  • Blade: 220mmx48mm O1 tool steel (62-63hrc) 320 grit hand finish
  • Neck: 17mmx23mm
  • Handle: 130mm, tapering from 25.8mmx23.1 to 22.7mmx18.7mm, scorched oak, oiled and waxed
  • POB: 47mm from handle
  • Spine: 3.50mm at the neck, 2.28mm at halfway, .68mm 1cm from the tip
  • Grind: flat to convex RH bias
  • Weight: 168 grams
  • Relieved choil and spine
  • Edge: 0 prior to sharpening
Asking $210 U.S shipped with insurance in North America, for shipping to Europe or Australia I will cover the first $32 U.S of shipping
