As it pains me to offer this, my coffee hobby is taking priority and daddy needs a new grinder.

Up for grabs is an immaculate and large example of ohira renge suita. The stone is solid, has no toxic lines and has been used for years on my kitchen counter as my main Stone. Edges are still slightly toothy but on the finer side and are able to tackle toilet paper cutting tests and still handle meat slicing or skinned veg destruction with ease.

As you can see by pictures, cladding is nice and dark with a perfectly bright yet hazy core steel.

Freshly lapped you get incredibly thick inky swarf immediately. As the stone surface is slowly refined through use the cladding and core will slightly brighten but still show the immense detail that these stones are known to produce.

I'm asking 1500usd obo, shipping included in North America.

woah... not often that a stone looks like a work of art.

q: what's the name for that funny little chisel-like tool you're sharpening in the last few photos?

thank you. that's wonderful. thought it must be something like that, but couldn't quite figure it -- or, obviously, guess the japanese name.
