$700 with Saya[and pin] shipped worldwide – if you want to trade for a 240 Milan hit me up
Used at home for a month as I usually do for all of my knives when I receive them. Turns out I don’t like westerns and it’s too good of a knife to just sit on my rack not being used.
Still has original edge, will need a sharpening… I might have stropped on a loaded Kangaroo leather… might not of, can’t remember.
Here is Wills description from when I purchased it
Heirloom fit Gyuto in Spicy White (26c3) a high carbon steel capable of high hardness and keen edge retention. This blade has also been differentially hardened with a tested edge hardness of 64.5hrc. The hamon was intended to reflect the activity in the highly figured Rosewood handle timber.
This blade has been convex ground with near continuous distal taper to create an extremely fine and sharp tip and cutting edge. The primary bevels have been highly polished to show off the hamon and the spine and choil rounded and mirror polished for comfort. The edge has been sharpened to 4k on whetstones.
The handle is a western style heirloom fit frame tang with a brass bolster, black g10 frame and stunning Rosewood. The handle has a number of facets to sit comfortably in the palm of the hand while also providing exceptional control. The knife balancing at the makers mark ensuring lightweight high performance.
This knife also comes with a highly figured Lace She-Oak Saya. The sheath has been lined with leather to better protect the highly polished blade and has an internal soft pine frame for edge protection and an external black g10 and brass frame that has been heirloom fit to the Lace She-Oak side pieces. The brass pin is tapered to ensure a snug fit over time and use.
