Asking price $800

This is a 240mm (just a hair over 240mm of cutting edge) 51mm tall at the heel.

K390 steel, at 67 hrc. 3 color mokume gane bolster with a vintage canvas micarta handle.

Balance is just above the heel right at the pinch grip.

Full convex with a bit of a walkschliff at the tip. The taper leads to a very nice slicey tip.

A little over 3mm spine thickness at the heel, 1.6mm half way to the tip. .4mm 10mm behind the tip.

Need to do the final sharpening still, its zero ground at this point. But the estimation after sharpening is 2.5, to 3 thousandths thick behind the edge after sharpening. Since thats the thickness I almost always measure when i sharpen a zero ground knife.

The handle shape is inspired by scheeperbuilt designs decagonal handle. Rounded rather than doing a decagon to make it a bit more practical to do since I don't have a mill. I really like how the facets allow the layers of the micarta to show.

Put sold. Helps with checking historical prices in the future.
Alright. Just don't want it to end up using up my number of knives i can sell if it turns out i end up doing enough this month to hit the limit.

I mean. I probably wont. But you never know.

In all seriousness. I was kinda hoping one of the people on the forum would end up getting this one. I think its a bit different than what i see most of the time on here. At least now.

A little thinner at the spine. I mean not super thin, but still thinner than a lot of what I commonly see. But it really did wow me in my testing. I kinda shot for the thicker spine at the heel thing with the m4 gyuto, because that seems to be what most are going for currently. But i think this one really came out in an area I would be happy to make again in the future.

I maybe would try .5 mm thicker or so at the handle give or take and see how that does, but i was really happy with this.
