Asking price $800
This is a 240mm (just a hair over 240mm of cutting edge) 51mm tall at the heel.
K390 steel, at 67 hrc. 3 color mokume gane bolster with a vintage canvas micarta handle.
Balance is just above the heel right at the pinch grip.
Full convex with a bit of a walkschliff at the tip. The taper leads to a very nice slicey tip.
A little over 3mm spine thickness at the heel, 1.6mm half way to the tip. .4mm 10mm behind the tip.
Need to do the final sharpening still, its zero ground at this point. But the estimation after sharpening is 2.5, to 3 thousandths thick behind the edge after sharpening. Since thats the thickness I almost always measure when i sharpen a zero ground knife.
The handle shape is inspired by scheeperbuilt designs decagonal handle. Rounded rather than doing a decagon to make it a bit more practical to do since I don't have a mill. I really like how the facets allow the layers of the micarta to show.
