Hello All,

Another first for me, a 175mm 52100 nakiri. I didn't go too extreme with the grind, I'm curious to see how this feels before I refine the geometry too much with this blade style, which owing to its width, should cut more easily than gyuto with a more profound taper.

  • Blade: 175mmx55mm 52100 (63hrc) 320 grit hand finish
  • Neck: 22mmx17mm
  • Handle: 130mm, tapering from 27.0mmx23.0 to 23.20mmx17.8mm, scorched oak, oiled and waxed
  • POB: 50mm from handle
  • Spine: 2.55mm at the neck, 1.9mm at 10cm, 1.54mm 1cm from the tip
  • Grind: flat to convex, right hand bias
  • Weight: 172 grams
  • Relieved choil and spine
  • Edge: .1mm
Asking $170 U.S + $25 U.S for shipping with insurance anywhere in North America. International will be in the ballpark of $50-$75 U.S depending on the area.
