Not hard to sharpen, its way too soft for a blade.

I have only heard of a couple of applications for titanium knives. Explosive ordinance disposal guys use them because they are non-magnetic. Also weight-weenie backpackers carry them to save a few grams in their pack.

They are easy to sharpen but won't hold the edge. Titanium can be brittle too.
