Heres a bunch of pics.

Ill ad some measurements up in a bit. It has a lot of distal taper as you can see. The steel is m4, with a mokume gane bolster/ferrule with sweet gum wood museum fit to it. And a water oak edge guard.

I got the idea for the edge guard from banana blades.

Thickest part is 4.23 mm right before the bolster.

Spine above the heel is 4.06mm

About halfway up the blade 2.54mm

About 10mm from the tip its .66mm

The behind the edge thickness directly at the edge. Ill be honestly with these super small measurements my calipers can struggle. But i got between 4.5-5thousandths or in mm i was getting .13-.16 mm.

About 10mm above the heel is 1.6mm

About halfway is round 1mm

3/4 to the tip is about .79mm

Then you get the .66mm 10mm from the tip.

Thats all the measurements i could think to take.

Edit. Oh yeah weight.

Ill try to dig out my kitchen scale at some point tomorrow. I never really weight any of the knives i have, or have made. So idk what i should shoot for... Or what things normally weight.

Height of blade at the heel?
Its around 1.85ish inches.

I used my plastic jawed dial calipers for that. I can get a more precise measurement tomorrow if need be.

Definitely has plenty of knuckle clearance with the profile.

So about 47mm. I'll get an exact measurement tomorrow. About to go to sleep

Still for sale.

I might eventually drop down the price a little if it still doesnt sell for a while. But doing a gyuto in these steels is honestly a lot of work along with eating up belts, and costing more for the steel itself, and needing to keep my dewar full for heat treating.

Have to make an update.

I went to polish the spine more, and slipped and had a little mark on the top of the blade. So i went ahead and finished it again.

I actually like how it came out more this time anyway. But here are the updated pics. Just to keep the listing current.

Some have a little oil on the knife from me wiping it down in the first or second pic.

Also. I forgot to say this because i made like 3 different listings for this at the same time.

But for all my knives in wear resistant steels. I offer the first thinning free for whoever buys them. The only thing that needs to be covered is postage. So whoever has it doesnt need to be worried about that part.

Any ones after that i will still be willing to do it. But will need to work something out with the buyer.

What is the HRC on it?

Ok.

I don't plan on doing it this low for gyutos in steels like these, just because the are a good bit more work for me and the time, and effort to $ is already on the low end at $600. But to be frank at this point i need to get this sold so i can get more materials to keep making other stuff, and i'm kinda stuck in a standstill atm.

So i can do $450 before shipping. Or i can keep the same price and even do some changes to this one if someone wanted them. Obviously besides added more material on or something lol.
