A little HC action dressed in Rosewood burl and copper fittings!

Heres one Im working on It should be done today. I still need to add the final edge on this one. But wanted to try and get a few good pics in the morning light!

Its blade is 240mm from tip to heel. With a 2.9mm thickness above the heel. tapering to a super nice thin tip. Blade is 1095 HC with a bright satin finish.
Handles are Honduran Rosewood burl. with copper fittings. This one turned out very nice in my humble opinion.

Tom, I think I found these at USA knife makers supply. There Corby style fasteners. Thanks for the comment on the knife. Im sure theres gona be one happy chef somewhere when he receives this package!

The blade is TALL!! Measures 57mm at the heel. The balance point is at the makers mark.

I really, really like that Rosewood handle!! It is stunning!! :bigeek:

Personally I do not like the look of the heel as it curves back, I prefer it to drop straight down or better yet curve toward the tip. :2cents:

EdipisReks, I would love to send you a blade to test out and beat up! If I had one that was not spoken for I would.. I actually was thinking that I will make one sometime after the first of the year and do a small pass around.. Still working out the details in my head. Im thinking 5 people. 2 home cooks and 3 pros.. 14 days each place. feedback required to play. Ill have to take a look at some of the other formats that have been done.. Talk to Dave.. Make the knife.. so it will be a while.

Thanks Mike, Ya know I really like Rosewood its my Favorite next to Ironwood, and Buckeye and Koa and Birch and cedar and cottonwood and cocobolo and maple. ( nat necessarily in that order, I change my favorite one each project! )

Well. I guess I like em all! But this chunk or rosewood was exceptional. And made a beauty of a handle! Happy Turkey day Mike,
