Up for grabs is another redundant knife in my roll, this time an Anryu AS 270mm gyuto. I got this one directly from the TKV store. Since I bought it, it’s only seen about a week or two worth of use in total intermittently, it has been sharpened and lightly thinned a couple times but is still in great shape.
$275 USD shipped CONUS.
This will be the only price drop, now it will be $250 shipped CONUS.

There are some real light scratches along the blade road from not spending long enough on the 400 stone after the 220 grit, I only went up to 1k grit after that and then stopped

Yeah I was pretty surprised nobody seemed interested! The knife I was planning on using the funds from this sale sold anyway so I’ll probably just end up withdrawing this one 🤷

Part of it might be users not being able to find a reference point for the phenominal value of this knife via a sold out new listing anywhere?

Tkvstore hasn't had the AS series listed for quite some time, only the VG10 and blue #2 (which have been sold out, outside of 1 restock since his retirement), and I've never seen a western store carry a 270mm AS gyuto, only his sujis.

Due to no frame of reference, I think users may not realize how amazing a deal this is, which is a shame, because getting your hands on one of these is impossible right now, even in person at takefu, as far as I know.

Yeah they don’t usually carry them, it was a custom order they hooked up for me! I think I’m just going to end up hanging onto it though! It was hard to post but I’m actually pretty happy nobody jumped on it 😃
 
I would have jumped on this immediately if I had spare knife funds sitting around.
