I have my eye on the Maruo Shiro Suita from CarbonKnifeCo.com for a while but there are no descriptions or notes about the stone. Has anyone purchased JNATs from there before? Curious how your experience went and if the stones had undisclosed toxic inclusions or lines you had to dig out.
Thanks for any input!

You can call and ask Craig about the specific stones he has listed.

I think at this point I have bought, uh... 5? stones from Carbon. Anyway, each time I made a phone call and asked about what he had up.
Thanks, good to know!

Looks legit with the right stamps in the right places. I have one from the new renge layer, a little harder than 3. Not as soft as the older ones with the white splash.

the only thing I will say is a negative about the Maruo stones Ive tried is that many have been dove grey or such in color, and I find that more difficult to see my work on than white/yellow stones.

at one point these stones were screaming deals, now not so much theyre another good stone at a reasonable price. it's worth considering if you really love the specific sample youre looking at it. but if it speaks to you I think the likelihood of going wrong is pretty low.

I'd rather buy jnats from people who can provide videos, where you can see what finish the stone can produce, speed, scratch patterns.

I recommend you to talk to @naader and @ethompson

have you...

have you tried asking?

Im looking through my emails and granted I dont have a video but I do have images of stones he's tested for me before I bought.

Yup, I agree. Just purchased a Maruo from @ethompson because of how helpful and transparent he is with the stone. Would recommend dealing with him 10/10 but also looking for other reputable sources for stones. Seems like CarbonCo is a good choice from what others are saying. I sent him an email and he responded promptly with details of the stone.
