Selling this 390 mm Ashi hamono gyuto. Used a few times, only polished the edge once.

Price: 700 usd.

Steel: shirogami 2 (monosteel)
Edge length: 390 mm
Height at heel: 67 mm
Spine Thickness heel: 4 mm
Weight: 551 g

I didn’t even know they made them this big. I’ve only used up to 360 mm. The grind looks nice and the extra spine thickness is a great feature. If I was breaking down big cuts of meat or large whole fish I would snap this up. I’d love to try fine dicing some onions with it.
 
Did you know Ashi made scimitars too? I didn't take a pic of it when is saw it, but it was just as cool. Yeah Ashi did some sick custom stuff back then. Current cool stuff include single bevel yanagi / sujihiki western handled for yasuyuki. Cool gyuto! Giant gyuto are less popular on the forums.
