Hey folks, going to sell one of my unicorns. This is the passaround santoku that can be seen, reviewed, and read about here: Ashi Honyaki passaround - 165mm Kamagata (santoku)

It made it through the pass around without any damage whatsoever and is sporting a beautiful patina. However, should someone want it, I'm happy to clean it off. Your call.

I want to do a great price on this so someone can get a really rare knife at a good price. So here is the deal: $1700 CONUS, $1750 Int'l, with anyone who might want it who participated in the passaround I'd offer it at $1525. If someone is a chef professionally and wants it, I'd offer it for $100 off as well.

Cheers!

I couldn’t believe how much I like using this little guy. Totally not my style of knife (light, short…) but I found myself drawn to it. To show…

This was my first cut with the knife and it had almost no edge at all. Wouldn’t cut paper let alone paper towel…. And still I was able to fly through an onion like this. I’d absolutely buy this if I could but I am absolutely past my budget. Whoever gets this is in for a real treat. These are legendary for a reason.

Yeah, this was one of the vary rare times I've gotten one of the super-hyped knives here and immediately thought "I get it." There are a TON of great knives out there, but very few that have that "aha yep this is special I see why these get traded in smoke filled rooms most of the time" feeling
