Whats the steel type?

It says reclaimed steel from a granite sawblade from Elberton, Georgia. There's a granite quarry and factory there according to wikipedia.

When I search for granite cutting sawblade steel, the two that come up are 75Cr1 and 80CrV2. 75Cr1 seems to be 1075 with a pinch of chromium and 80CrV2 is similar to 1080 series steel with added chromium and vanadium. They use a hardness tester in house, and I bet the high hardness is to extend the edge retention of these steels beyond what you might otherwise expect from their composition. I'd guess they'd still be easy to sharpen too tho.

sold!

thanks KKF 👊🏼

edit: guess i can no longer edit the first post to SOLD . . .
