2 boxes

At least the insides were there and intact. 2 different boxes within the same 2 weeks...

And an older big box, not anything kitchen related though. I wish I could get a box of rocks and blades that big! 🤣

Delivery guy or whoever was nice enough to drip blood on my box. 🤢 Granted thin was like 80lbs but it does show the little guy and the 🚫 to not solo move it. They probably just did what I did, and grabbed it by the sharp straps to lug it inside at least. 😆

Some box shaped objects? My attempt at making some custom boxes. Debated using felt as a liner since they weren't the cleanest cut outs. And different hinge ways, one allows full open the other makes it have a hard stop to hold open. Unfortunately once the stones out that one is Very prone to want to tip back. May need to bore in some weights on the bottom...

Sorry if this is the wrong place for these. If it is just delete.

Thanks! Been dabbling in woodworking. Definitely learned a lot on what not on what not to do on the next ones haha!

Yeah, these both are for razors. The general census seems to be coti is too fine for knives. But find a good BBW and you're golden. 👍

One naturally bonded coti/bbw the other is a Natural Les Lat combo. The slurry has a bit of coti on both sides before the hybrid is why it's just tan.

nice.

so each box is made from a single plank / block of wood, right? I can see the matching veins on the base and lid. nice touch.

also, did you cut the holes all the way through the plank and then attached that plank to a solid one, or you just carved them into a solid piece (not going all the way through)? not sure I was clear here…

or carve some more holes into the lid to make it lighter? small holes around the main ones

Yeah, started with a solid block. Unfortunately (one of my errors) didn't split the wood before cutting. So I started chiseling the top, made the cut outs, then split it. So they don't exactly match, but they're similar enough it's hard to tell.

Just a solid block, then split. I like the idea to make the lid lighter. But I think what I'll end up doing is doing that but on the bottom so it's hidden, and add weight. It literally isn't much maybe the weight of a quarter that makes it want to tip ha...

🤣 I'm now realizing my uneven sanding on the longer one... Especially in the 2nd picture. I guess since that's the base I've never noticed hah...

"Did you buy another knife?"

"Umm...no?!?"

"What are all those boxes from then?"

"What bo.." "I Know what your knife boxes look like!!"

I used to have that discussion. She gave up. But then again I think it helped that boxes went out with knives in them.

Yeah, I deserved it though. I've been on a spree lately. Might be some going out though too.

And it's my fault for leaving the evidence!
