Hello friends! Happy new year!
Catch and release here… got this guy in a trade (long story). It’s BNIB shy of me cutting a Yukon potato just so I could feel that sexy Takeda heat treat
So if you missed a shot at a brand new Takeda this is your chance!
This is the “medium” NAS Kiritsuke and this one in particular is:
246 x 66 at 182g
Maple handle, black Pakka wood ferrule
Aogami super/ stainless clad
The reason I picked this one in particular is the slight forward balance which aids just a touch with cutting power. The balance point is right on the signature Takeda
Just like every Takeda I’ve owned the HT on the steel is absolutely phenomenal… the steel feels extremely crispy and gets silly stupid sharp within seconds on the stones. This one is already DEADLY sharp right out of the box.
The F&F on this knife is super duper clean and the maple handle on this particular one has some really nice figuring as well. The only flaw I see on the knife is a very small hairline scratch/ mark on the right side bevel. I’m unsure exactly what it is but it’s maybe 2ish mm long and doesn’t seem deep or critical in any way.
All in all this is a SUPER clean Takeda and I would honestly love to keep it in a perfect world.
$375 Shipped Conus (intl we can talk)
