I'm pretty sure I should be good to go, but does anyone think I'll have any issue with a few chefs knives in my checked baggage going to Australia TMR? The internet leads me to believe it'll be fine but I don't want to lose any of my Takamura knives

It should be fine as long as it’s checked.

Have had no problems entering knives checked to Canada, Cuba, USA, Germany, France, Dominican Republic. Sadly no Oz experience.

I recently came back from New Zealand with nine knives in my bag. They saw them on the x-ray image of course. I told them that I had taken them with me on my holiday because I enjoy cooking.

No problem at all, they didn’t even look at them.

Brought many knives back to Oz from Japan in checked baggage. No issues at all.

I always place them against a stiff edge of the suitcase (usually the bottom plate) for protection.

I had 2 240mm gyutos and an 8 inch wusthoff in my suitcase when I moved from Lebanon to the Netherlands this September. If an Arab guy can take them from the middle East to Europe, I think you'll be fine :p

    You're going to Brissie, right?

    Hope you bought your raincaot

Actually, I think it's going to clear up a little later in the week. Hope the weather is good for you.

It’s been dry as sticks in Brisbane for months. All the rain is up north.

Ok. Looks like my weather app is giving me a bad steer. Sorry for passing it on.
