Another reluctant sale, but I want to aggressively downsize my collection to ~10 knives in the next few months.
Specs:
- 237 x 56.5mm
- 3.3mm spine at handle
- 247g
Price:
- £500 + shipping
Condition and Other Notes:
- Bought last year as part of a trade in barely used (literally two meal preps) and unsharpened condition - the original buyer paid $820.
- The original webpage is still up on the Migoto site here: https://migotocutlery.com/collections/australian-made/products/brook-turner-wrought-26c3-gyuto-237mm
- The original zero edge was so thin that it suffered a handful of tiny microchips during shipping, so I sharpened it once with a Washita to get rid of those and establish a microbevel, and have only touched it up a handful of times with a BBW since then. Brook’s 26c3 is really nice and bitey.
- The lightly convexed bevels are fully stone ready (to a ‘stock’ standard I’ve only seen elsewhere on Milan’s knives thanks to Lee’s incredible work), and are already at a fine suita level of refinement for if/when you decide to refresh the patina. I have polished this knife on benchstones, but the knife currently has a patina.
- I don’t like a super shiny finish on my handles, so I have gently buffed the ironwood with some red scotchbrite to reintroduce a more natural feel to the wood and matte finish, and added a light coating of oil afterwards to condition.

Thanks for looking!
