It feels great. I can slightly feel the taper I think. I don’t have a JNS burnt chvcestnt handle but I have a JKI one. Quality is on par with that. No sandpaper marks on the ferrule. Also, when I ordered on Etsy he had multiparty sizes, with multiple very specific measurements including tang hole size. I think if you ask him he will make you a octagonal one. I’m definitely going to order more.

PS took my JNS maz from 277 g to a reasonable 244g.

I’ll also add that @JoBone made me an awesome burnt oak handle that I think is beautiful and exactly to the specs I asked.

Jobone does not disappoint with the burnt handles, just to put my two cents in here to help sway your opinion.

Mine is burnt osage orange with chocobolo ferrule.
