I have been trying to terminate email notifications of threads I am watching -- or even unwatch the threads. But when I uncheck the relevant options (see below) I see no means to save the desired changes -- and once I leave the page the desired changes are clearly ignored. How do I effect the changes? (Yes, I have tried in vain to search for a solution to my problem.)

    Options:
    • Watch this thread...
      • and receive email notifications

For me, at the upper left of each page there is a button for watch & unwatch. I can click unwatch buttons and to disable that pages to be “unwatched.” I will not get more stuff from that threads/pages. For pages I like to continue catching up with, I keep those pages as watched. For example, I can see the watch or unwatched thread button of this page at the upper left hand corner of this very webpage under the title of this thread (Cancelling Email Notifications).

Thanks much! I will try that and see if it works.

An a bit embarrassed that I had zeroed in on the "More Options..." button at the bottom of the thread and hadn't noticed the "Unwatch Thread" button at the top (though the former would appear -- if it were working as I had expected -- to give the option of continuing to watch a thread but not receive email notifications).

Oh, I just chatted with larrybard. Maybe it doesn’t work. Let’s see!

I think you helped many more people than I do. Thank you for your help around here & good luck with your amazing knife projects!
