Didn’t think I’d be listing these two petty’s, since they’re in my personal roll, but my 200mm Marko petty has pretty much taken over my roll and it’s the only smaller knife I reach for now. Sucks, so these two should leave the nest and make somebody else happy.
Up first is a 150mm TF Nashiji Petty. It was slightly tipped while getting it’s handle makeover, but I repaired it. A couple very light scratches from use, and I’ve sharpened it maybe twice? TF’s heat treat is baller, so I never really felt like I needed to constantly bring back the edge since it’s shirogami. Absolutely gorgeous birdbeak yo handle in figured ironwood, done by the amazing @birdsfan . I will miss this one fa sho.
Specs:
152x33mm
95g
Stainless Cladding
Shirogami #1 Core
Ironwood Birdsbeak Yo Handle
Price: $160 obo, shipped via UPS, USA ONLY (international, let’s talk in the DM’s)
Next up is an 80mm Butch Harner “Kitchen Scalpel” aka baller pairing knife aka short but not sweet petty. Pretty much brand new, I cut two mangoes with it and it’s been tucked in my roll ever since. The choil shot doesn’t do this knife justice because it’s just thick at the ricasso so that when you firmly grasp it (spongebob reference), you don’t cut yourself. The edge is thiiiin. Butch is one of the few who use XHP Carpenter Steel, it’s stainless and holds an incredible edge, while still being oretty Literally the perfect pairing knife. For those who know, ya know, and for those who don’t, it’s never too late to find out.
Specs:
79x30
91g
XHP Carpenter Monosteel
Cocobolo Yo Handle
Price:$140 SOLD, shipped via UPS, USA ONLY (international, let’s talk in the DM’s)
