Hello,

As my post title indicates, I am challenged in the kitchen (as my wife can confirm!) but not challenged in my appreciation of art, of which I certainly include Japanese knife forging skills and knives. My wife and I own a couple of Nigara Hamono SG2 Anmon Damascus, a couple of Shigeki Tanaka SG2 Kurosome Damascus and a Takeshi Sajii VG10 Rainbow Damascus that we have for daily use.

I am just starting to collect a few special Japanese knives mostly for display in our kitchen and am joining this forum to learn more about Japanese blacksmiths and their knives and hopefully find a few difficult to find knives offered by other collectors. My first acquisition in this project was a 240mm Kisuke Manaka ENN wa-gyuto (image attached). Next, I am hoping to find a Tsukasa Hinoura "river jump" or "flowing clouds" to display along side of it.
