    DANG!!! That's awesome.

Everything is super cool from the feather pattern to the blade shape. Love that amboyna. That live edge on the handle is like the cherry on top.

ok when ever we do my river of fire blade, the handle is now amboyna, thick musk spacer, amboyna and mokume, are live edge handles fragile i.e. prone to chipping

Thank ya. :D This is the first time I have done a "live edge" handle. Mr Butch Harner did some many years ago that I always thought looked great. So when asked if I would do it on a custom order. I figured I would give it a go. :)

Please email me with the request so I can make necessary adjustments to the written order.

As to the question about chipping. I do not see any reason they would be prone to chipping or fragile.. As long as the piece is solid and dried/cured properly prior to use. I dont believe that it will ever be a weak point in the handle. But as I just posted. This is my first one. and someone else may have more history or experience and can share their knowledge..

I expect a pic of her after a month or two, curious of what a heavily patina'd damascus blade from randy looks like, I have one but I only pull her out for the specialest of special people.
